Does This Taste Funny?
While pulling something out of my tush carefully considering today’s post I came across this blog Craftastrophe. This is a blog about crafting projects that have gone awry. I couldn’t get enough.
Our philosophy here at Does This Blog Make Us Look Fat, that sometimes dieting can be a real joke, is akin to Craftastrophe’s, that not everything homemade is pretty. I’m fairly certain whomever writes Craftastrophe and I were seperated at birth.
I wish I would have thought of the idea since my crafting skills are… what’s the word.. sucky? But since crappy crafts seems to be taken as blog fodder I’m calling crappy diet food. I give you a recent Foodtastrophe I perpetrated, South Beach Quiche. Mind you I was trying to take gorgeous food photos and post them here as an inspiration to readers. And of course I was also hoping to show off how talented I am.
Things start well…

Mind you I don’t realize until I look at the photo that an egg shell is in there.

So there is my Foodtastrophe. If you’ve got a kitchen disaster.. especially a diet recipe that goes awry send me a picture. Here’s the email dtbmulf@gmail.com. Put the subject line Foodtastrophe in there. Seriously, we really could use a laugh between carrots and 48oz of water.
I think shells are good for you, don’t they have something we are lacking in our diet? I tend to include them in dishes where they can’t be seen.LOL
Wait. They LOOK weird, but how did they taste? Or is the disaster the shell? This didn’t seem bad. Now I’m hungry…

Isn’t there some kind of cake where they bake a coin in the batter? Your quiche cupcakes could be like that only with egg shells. Find a shell and get a prize! Every foodtastrophes has a silver lining.
