Walk off Chocolate Cravings
Today Fatfighter TV found this news nuggett. According to British researchers a fifteen minute walk can help you smash down chocolate cravings. It can’t be that easy.. can it? Also we joke a lot about fat around here but when it comes to kids being overweight can be a health risk. New data shows that obese kids have arteries that look like the arteries of the middled aged. Sometimes it’s easier to make healthy choices when we think about how what we do affects our families. (And sometimes they just make me want to eat cookie dough, so there.)
And then there’s this… a weight loss success that got me totally motivated. She lost over two-hundred pounds and now
has a business centered around healthy eating. I’ve been feeling really un-motivated and bingee (bingie?) lately and this woman’s story helped shake me out of it. (And put down the cookie dough.)
How’s your motivation? I know you can do it but I’ve been doubt myself quite a bit recently. What’s been keeping you on track? Share with the class, especially today as the weekend temptations are about to begin!

I have nothing to share. I gained this week. I AM considering writing a little O on each hand to remind myself when I reach for food that I am technically obese. I don’t look it, but my BMI don’t lie!
I’ll be checking back to see what others suggest…sigh.

Just what I needed today.

My motivation going into the weekend is that my weigh-in is Saturday morning!
Honestly, my best friend has done a lot to keep me motivated this week. He hauled my butt to the gym four of the last five days, even when he was beat and really didn’t feel like going himself. That helped a lot, and it inspired me to go on my own today, when he was out of town.

Wow thank you everyone! And really having a buddy in all this is what this blog is all about!
Good luck over the weekend peeps!
I read somewhere a motivational thought that “nothing tastes as good as I feel when I like the way I look”.
Doesn’t always work, but then anything that ALWAYS worked would be “healthful living” rather than “dieting” anyway. True?
We are visiting friends out of town this weekend. It is always tempting to eat more and say to myself “special circumstances”. This time I will try to swap a glass of water for one glass of wine before dinner, watch my portions and only taste dessert. (Try I say – not going to feel like a failure if the mood to indulge wins out).

One thing that’s really helped me this time around is writing it all down. I’ve always thought that was a royal pain before, but for some reason it’s been easier this time.
Either that, or it’s been the Magical Weight Loss Sandwiches at Subway.
motivation? good.
chocolatewalkingoffcravings? not so good.
although we’ve been walking to a coffee shop which sells delectable chocolate.
mightcould need to switch paths.
