Pie Chart

9

Fat Fighter TVSo yesterday I posted the recipe for my Truvia Pumpkin Pie. I used Truvia so it’s sugar free AND it’s approximately 120 calories per slice if you slice it into eighths. It also tasted great. But how well does it stack it up against other pies? Go to  Fatfighter TV and you’ll be quite amazed. There’s a list of popular pies and their calorie counts.  You’ll see the crustless version of the Truvia Pumpkin Pie is half the calories than most pumpkin pies out there! YAY!

So take a look at the chart and start deciding what you’re going to do next week on Thanksgiving. Will you plan to eat what you want and just deal with it before and after OR keep your wits about you on Thanksgiving Day so you don’t have to pay at the scale.

For the record I’m not sure what I’m going to do. Will I give myself Thanksgiving Absolution OR be sensible? You?

We always go for the real deal on Thanksgiving desserts. But I will definitely be hitting the gym leading up to Thursday!

This is a tough one. This week’s WW lesson helped me make my decision though. Tricky WW – the ol’ write down everything you want to eat and add up the points – works every time. Especially when I realize I want to eat at least 50 points…and I have 3 dinners to go to!

Well, I plan to eat pumpkin pie because that’s what I make to take since we always celebrate my son’s b-day on Thanksgiving. (He asks for pie instead of cake every year!)

As for the rest of the feast, I attend a meat-based holiday meal but I am vegetarian. That makes temptation less of an issue. I will probably load up on carbs like mashed potatos and sweet potatos, but they vegetables too, aren’t they?

I will eat wha I want. I am running a 10k that morning, so I think the training and the run entitles me to eat. At least thats what I tell myself.

I tried Truvia but it gave me an unpleasant digestive reaction. I don’t think it’s as natural as they like to pretend it is.

If I’m to be honest, I will be eating whatever I feel like. To compensate, I will be super-good all week, both on points and activity. I will also do my very best to not have seconds. That’ll have to be good enough. It’ll sure enough be better than most Thanksgivings!

This year it is just the family in town, not a large gathering with friends and lots of shared dishes. I can have one small serving of each thing, a small piece of pie with no whipped cream, and nobody has to die. Except the turkey. And he is a natural/organic guy so I am pretty sure they fed him granola bars and sang kum-bayah while they killed him with kindness. Or something to that effect.
