Black Friday Motivator

Okay.. I overate. Big doodlewacking deal. It’s over I’m moving on. But I find I’m a tad bit unmotivated. What with the turkey still pulling me back to sleepy town and the house being a certified disaster I want to hide under a pile of couch pillows. SO I need to psyche myself into angelic, healthy lifestyle type behavior.

Fat Fighter TVMotivation One – Health. Here’s our Friday FatFighterTV news nugget: A new study suggests that overweight woman are more at risk for breast cancer. That’s motivated me to have a light breakfast. You?

Motivation Two- Holiday Outfits and Three Way Mirrors. I do not repeat DO NOT want to go in the dressing room at the department store the day before the office holiday party and see cookie dough represented in fluorescent light skin tones while I look for a festive party mu-mu. That’s motivated me to get to my spin class. You?

Motivation Three – I am going to eat, drink, and be merry on the holidays. To curb mah bowl-fulla-jellay-bellay I’m going to get  back on my sensible eating plan right now, today, on the Friday after Thanksgiving. When I do nogg it up I don’t want to be racked with guilt.  That’s motivated me to map out my meals for today. You?

    Good planning ahead! I shall do the same. I am happy to say I didn’t go too crazy yesterday, though I did indulge in real Coca Cola. I enjoyed my day without going crazy. That’s the beginning of my plan for the next month!

  2. Great post! What motivates me to get back on the wagon, plain n’ simple, is that I know in my heart of hearts that I am an unhappy camper when I am off program, overeating, sabotaging my best life. I worked hard to permanently remove over 55 pounds 7 years ago, and I am staying this size!!!!

    So, this morning, I baked a pineapple. FYI … if your pineapple isn’t ripe, stick it (nice language) in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes @ 350 degrees and it carmalizes. We are enjoying one ripe pineapple right now!

    I had a very light breakfast. Two cups of coffee and the air in my mouth.

    Yeah yeah I know, not supposed to skip breakfast. I am just not ready to eat for hours when I get up and when I think brunch I think Booze with Breakfast Food!, so I typically just wait until I calm down and start my eating day out with lunch.

    But that is not motivating now, is it?

    OK so here is your motivation. Do better than I do – THERE’S your goal. Go!

    And – consider staying out of the stores some this year and working on hand made and home made gifts. Maybe we can give our over-spending a break like we are trying to give over-eating the boot!

    hmmm. I spent all day with sh*t crammed in my mouth as my family is still here and my parents are still around wonderingaskinginquiring when I might get a real career.

    We don’t do Thanksgiving in Australia but I spent the day with my nose buried in Mexican food.

    Awesome.

    I am waiting for New Years. My resolution is to eat nothing but lettuce and berries (with Ranch dressing and cream..)

    I did great on Turkey Day until the candy crabby patties (a la Sponge Bob) made an appearance–then my sweet tooth took control!
