The 32 Days of Christmas

Cookie ExchangeOn the first day of December my co-workers gave to me.. a plate of leftover Thanksgiving pie. Dangit!

Welcome to December. Here at Does This Blog Make Us Look Fat? We believe holiday eating encompasses WAY more than the 12 Days of Christmas. We count 32 days of holiday eating between now and January 2. Let’s just agree right now that we are not weighing in on January 1st, 2009. January SECOND is the New Year for our weight and the day of reckoning to see how we did in 2008 with diet and exercise. So we’ve got 32 days to either make the right choices or crash and burn.

December is GO TIME. We’re going to be updating the blog frequently as we try to lose in December instead of gain that 7 pounds some studies claim hitch a ride to our arses at the end of every year.

Each day this month events will conspire to fatten us up like a Christmas goose so we’re plumping up the blog in retaliation. We will laugh in the face of cookie exchanges and fruitcake. HAHAHA fruitcake!

Coming soon a December Diet Printable AND we’re working up some fun giveaways. Also we’re launching a sister site later this month we can’t wait to show you. So bring it December. We’re ready.

Sing it with me people… on the first day of December my fat blog gave to me…

Kiki, holy cow. You were the very first commenter on PW’s post this morning. I just had to come over here and tell you that I saw that. Considering she gets about a thousand comments per post, that’s a feat! Maybe it burned a few calories. ;)

In December I’m just happy if I can not gain any weight, forget losing any. If I can maintain, that’s success.

It was like winning the lottery! I just commented and figured I’d be in the top ten or something but Number 1. Now I feel pressure to have a better post for our PW Reader people. Gulp. We could never compare so I’m thinking we’ll just keep goofing around over here.

And I agree not gaining is an accomplishment this time of year.

My fat blogversary is November 22, 2007. Ah, ’twas just a wee little blog on my myspace page. I was fat then too but managed to lose 15 lbs during Thanksgiving and Christmas and New year. Which of course I managed to gain back during the course of this year. Ah the diet cycle continues…
