Happy New Year

5

Today we offer total diet vapor lock. You are suspended from all diet/exercise/body issues today.

We would like to know what day everyone’s really starting. Friday (which is an awkward diet start day) OR Monday because that’s the real first day of the year for many dieters?

Tomorrow we’re going to highlight a few weight loss blogs and resolution posts so email dtbmulf@gmail.com if you’re blogging about diets and weight loss and want to be included.

Oh and leftovers have no calories PLUS a hangover burns just as many calories as a 2 mile run so just lay down.

I’m not starting until Monday. My husband – who weighs about the same as I do, but oh yeah, is 5 inches taller and a MAN – tried to tell me he’s starting today. After the cookies for breakfast, of course.

Mine isn’t really a weight loss blog but I sure hope to do me some of that in 2009. That is the point of my resolutions at least to some degree as noted in Getting Lucky.
We have a grad school daughter currently at home on school break. That means no real serious eating shifts until after her return to school in Mid January.

For now I am trying to skip out on at least one snacking/over-eating opportunity per day. If I don’t, I am cutting myself slack until it is just me and Hub in the house, shouting to be heard over the sounds of our arteries slapping shut.

It’s funny you asked that question, because I think I mentioned in my last post that everyone knows that the new year doesn’t actually start until the first Monday after Jan. 1st. Or maybe even Tuesday, because that’s when my kids go back to school.
