Five benefits often experienced of using this fruit, beside taste include the following:
1. This fruit is rich in antioxidants such as Vitamin C and polyphenols. It is said to be much more useful for fighting cancer than blueberries, pomegranates, red wine grapes, and a host of other fruits.
2. It has been known for its antiseptic qualities in times past. The ancient Brazilian tribes were among the first people to use it to clean wounds. It also is used today by athletes because people who consume acai berry on a regular basis recover quicker from injury.
3. This fruit provides a healthy supply of energy. It contains an appropriate dosage of carbohydrates that helps keep the body going all day long.
4. This particular fruit is one of the only ones that contain as many omega oils as it does. These properties help keep blood pressure down and the heart rate normal.
5. Blood sugar is regulated, which helps diabetes patients keep their condition under control. It is a great supply of sweetener for those who cannot eat excess sugar.
More research is also being conducted on this fruit’s ability to ward off cancers, such as leukemia. Already various solutions that contain acai berry in them were used to test these malignant cells in a lab setting.
More effort is also being made to determine how useful this product is in preventing heart disease. It is also said to help stop aging in people.
