		<description>Hey I&#039;ve been to Plateau Park too! I can&#039;t get out.  Just when I think I&#039;m doing well, my skinny-eat-what-I-want husband (who has lost weight since not going to the gym) plops down next to me with a bag of pretzels and all hope is lost.  And then, I have to match that with my evening 4-5 oz of wine. Bad combo.  

For a week a guess you can call my plan &quot;Pret-a-Vino Resistance&quot;. Sounds like some anti-fashion protest or something.

		<description>I hate counting. I won&#039;t count ANYTHING. Not ever again.

I just posted an update on how things are going with the bodybugg (as seen on TV--just had to say that, after hearing it for so many years--on THE BIGGEST LOSER). I&#039;ve had it for a month, began wearing it December 12, and I&#039;m down 6 pounds. No diet food. None. Just the real deal.  And I&#039;m not starving. And I&#039;ve been eating dessert when I want it. And drinking alcohol (though I am not, and never have been, a big drinker. Good thing, too. Do you know how many calories are in a Margarita? And it&#039;s my favorite drink BY FAR!)

Anyway, you can balance what you eat with how much you exercise forever, as a new way of living. I do not believe you can diet forever, because it&#039;s impossible to live on a wagon. Sooner or later, you just have to get off. It&#039;s not cheap (the bodybugg), but you have to ask yourself: How much have I spent on failed diets? And what has my damaged self-esteem cost me? Aren&#039;t I worth it?

I get nothing, by the way, for selling these things. I have no connection to the company at all. It&#039;s just a product that I believe in, and as an M.D., it&#039;s a healthy way to lose weight that I can endorse. I lost 26.5 pounds last year.  Holy crap...how did that happen?  Oh, right - stress over finances, spouse&#039;s employment, child&#039;s apparent inability to do anything he&#039;s told, aunt&#039;s cancer...yeah, that&#039;s right.  

I did learn something interesting - eat fruits and vegetable first because they digest faster.  Meat takes longer - hours longer - and slows the absorption of the fruits and veg, so they linger and ferment and...gag...that&#039;ll put you off your feed for a while!

Sugar, if I can do it, I know you can.  I&#039;m cheering you on!
