Good News GREAT NEWS and a Weight Watchers Giveaway!
****Comments Closed We’ll Announce the Winner Friday Morning****
Good News: I’ve lost about 15 Pounds since my all time high.
Bad News: I still have 10 or 15ish to go. (It really is 15 and well I could stand to lose 20 but I’m being realistic here.)
Good News: My progress so far and this blog is featured on AOL Health. You already know me but look at all the other great, and much more impressive, weight loss success stories. Our common bond is using Twitter to help us!
Bad News: There’s a before pic of me. Ugh.
GREAT NEWS! If you notice there’s a new badge down there in a Word From Our Sponsors. As you know Robin is currently on Jenny Craig (and she’s lost, I’ll let her tell you the latest.) Now Weight Watchers has asked me to blog about the Walk-It program.
You can find out how to join the Walk-It Challenge by clicking on the badge on the side bar or this one in the post.
I’m going to be weighing-in, walking with some of my favorite dieting friends, and taking you along. We’re going to see if we can incorporate exercise into our daily lives forever and ever! Why? Well because we want to be smoking hot, oh and healthy. The more we move the more we can eat right? Goodness knows I love eating. Hopefully through the Walk-It Challenge I can make the exercise part more fun.
You can start your own Walk-It Challenge and if you do PLEASE take a picture because I want us all to share our walks. We may not be neighbors but we can still walk together!
GREATER NEWS! I’ve got Weight Watchers memberships to give away to readers. To kick off the Walk It-Blog It fun I’m giving away a free Three Month Membership to Weight Watchers. You can choose either online or three free months of meetings. I’ve got three memberships to give away and you can enter to win the first one today. For this first prize just leave a comment today about your exercise goals. The contest will be open until midnight EST tonight. I’ll draw the winning name and post it here Friday morning April 24th, 2009.
So how about it? What are your fitness goals?

I try to work out 5-6 days a week. I go to one gym to use their ellipticals and treadmills for about 25-30 minutes and then I go to a different gym that has a class which is a combo of plyometrics & muay thai kickboxing. I’d like to get into running at some point and participate in a 5K, but I haven’t had a chance to get started! I do this and weight watchers combined although my WW subscription ends next week
and I don’t have money to continue it. Hopefully I’ll be able to still do WW on my own (which is actually difficult!)
I would love to win this! I just started my weight loss journey, because I knew I had to be REALLY committed before I started. I *know* now’s the time. Before I just wasn’t ready. I was a single mom (kinda still am, technically, long story) but now I have the help at home that allows me to exercise, plan meals, etc.
I’ve lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks, and I’m starting to exercise more. Started Jillians 30DS, and I do it off and on. Goal is to do it every other day. And on the days I don’t that, I want to start to walk. It’s spring, after all!
I would love the support of WW, but I just don’t have the budget right now. I have to go at it on my own for awhile. I did WW before and had great success. If I could do it again for free, I know I’d even be more successful and that would be utterly MAGNIFICENT!
BTW, checked you out on AOL Health. Great picture! You look so much YOUNGER now!
I’m trying to eat healthier and exercise more. Would love the help of WW.
OH my! This is perfect timing, I would LOVE to win the WW
subsciption!
I’ve started walking every morning this week. So far I’m up to 26 minutes and darned proud of it!
My next step will be to join WW, but this would be just the incentive I need!
What a grat giveaway! I found you through the article on AOL! Congrats!
My exercise goals are to increase the time I am exercising each week. I currently
Sorry – my post was incomplete above. . .
I currently walk a mile 6 days a week in the evenings, but I also desire to start working out in the mornings with my three kids to a dance video. Doesn’t that sound like fun!
Perfect timing, indeed! I was just thinking of re-re-joining the big WW! Would love to win 3 free months o’ meetings.
My current fitness goal: To walk my butt off! (Start incorporating walking into my commutes, that is.)
What a great gift to give away!! I used to be on WW & had to streamline our budget so I gave it up…I have 40lbs to lose.
My exercise goals are to continue use My Fitness Coach on the Wii for 15 min on MonWedFri mornings. Also, now that it is getting warmer out, I want to add a powerwalk to my routine the mornings before everyone else in the house is awake, instead of sipping coffee & relaxing! When I add a walk in the morning, I know I’ll be more amped to face the day
I have never done Weight Watchers, but I’d love the chance to try for free. I don’t have a lot of spare money to throw into something like this, so if I got it for free that would definitely be a plus to my weight loss goals!
I am currently trying to work out for 150 minutes a week. That means 30 minutes 5 days a week or however else you would break that up. So far I’m doing alright, though I’d like to save up for a gym membership so I can use their elliptical machines. Right now I’m just walking and doing Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred.
I’m trying to exercise five days a week for 30 minutes. I’m doing pretty well, and the recent nice days in Cleveland have certainly helped! I also have an elliptical that I’m starting to use again and I am trying to get back up to 30 minutes — I’m at 20 now, which isn’t too bad!
Thanks for this contest! I’ll be walking tonight to soak up the sun shine in Cleveland!
I followed you right over from twitter-just snopping around on your site-I think the term is lurking-sounds so sneaky-love the site and I am with you I still NEED to lose those last stubborn baby weight I still have from 9 years ago-will it ever come off??
I would love to lose 40 pounds but would be happy with 20 to start with. Now that the weather is nice I want to start walking – starting at 10 minutes a day and working up to 30. I also have a couple of fitness DVDs I want to start using.
Currently, my workouts consist of walking, I would like to work up to run/walk a 4 or 5k….hopefully that’ll help me lose the weight!
I am planning on upping the frequency of my yoga and bike rides that I already do. Also I’m going to join the walk it challenge.
I need to up my workouts. My goal is to be more consistent and use my Edge Breeze Glider a few nights a week for 30 to 45 minutes and strength train at least twice a week. I want to be strong again, so I need to do more yoga/pilates. The poses are not as easy as they look!
Exercise goals: I want to exercise 5 days/ week. I have recently found a few Leslie Sansone videos that I like and I want to find time daily for the 45 minute walk because I feel great! I am trying to incorporate more walking into my daily routine ~ I started wearing a pedometer to make sure I hot 10000 steps daily!
BTW~ in the article pic, you look FABULOUS !!!
It inspires me to hear what other people want to do and are doing already.
And Thanks Jen you look great too. Seriously you’ve come so far!
Rebecca
