The World’s Best Diet Food

4

I am days away from surpassing my Atkins record. The longest I’ve ever managed to stay low-carb was 2 months and 15 days. I’m about to hit the 3 month mark. I know, it doesn’t sound very impressive, but I have D.A.D. (Diet Attention Deficit).

Anyway, this time ’round I have to credit my success to a single food. My staple. I eat it for breakfast every morning and for a snack after dinner and it has kept me honest (except for a diet-related binge that I’ll discuss at a later date).

daybreakBehold the Atkins Apple Crisp Bar. It’s cinnamon-y and crunchy w/ a little bit of frosting. It has 4 net carbs and is soooooo much tastier than the Baker’s chocolate-sprayed cardboard available a few years ago.

So, thank you Apple Crisp Bar, you were my only hope.

Note: I’m totally open to free samples. Oh, DRAT! I probably should’ve secured that deal before I posted this.

Atkins has come out with some great snacks. I’m a fan of the Atkins shakes. Love the chocolate. I did Atkins about 6 years ago for several months. Even though I’m on Weight Watchers now, I still prefer the Atkins shakes when I need a quick meal on the go. They are only 3 WW points, tasty, filling and they don’t mess with my stomach.
Congrats on sticking it out for 3 months! It does work when you stick to it.

I’m 24 weeks pregnant, I don’t really count in months.
