The 12 Days of Atkins
In keeping with the “Not Another Fat Christmas” vow, I’ve embarked on a little something I like to call the 12 Days of Atkins. Sort of like what you’d get with the 12 Days of Christmas, but with fewer birds. For 12 days, I’m going back to my low carb roots and recommitting. I don’t expect to lose big, just stave off those sugar plum cravings and gear up for cooking that Christmas goose.
We here at DTBMULF invite you to try it. Tailor it to your own needs. Do the 12 Days of Weight Watchers, South Beach, Zone. And it doesn’t have to be 12 days. Christmas is 10 days away. (I started a couple of days ago.) And it doesn’t have to even be Christmas. The point is…don’t surrender your diet goals just because 2009 is about to wave a white flag. I’m gifting myself with a worry-free 12 days of Chex Mix avalanche with the idea that not worrying about what I am eating for 12 days will be (cough-cough) healthier than stressing and eating the cups and cups of Chex Mix anyway. Because I know I will. It is part of celebrating my way. Ta da!
