The Day Before New Year’s Eve Diet
I’m zombified. Christmased out. Cooked. I ate, I drank, I was mildly merry.
The up shot? I liked my Xmas outfit. Black sweater dress with silver glittery tights and sweater boots. It worked out much better than LAST year when I shopped high and low for a skirt and sweater which I (idiotically) wore tucked in. THIS year, I have seen no awful post-holiday Xmas family picture posting on facebook or any other social media outlet. Yet…. Not like last year when they did this to me…

For New Year’s Eve, I’m wearing a potato sack and eating rice cakes all night.
Okay, so it looks like you’re eating cake. As long as your name isn’t Marie Antoinette, you ought to be able to keep your head. Know what I saw in that picture? Slender wrists. Cheek bones. And a belt! A belt! I wouldn’t be caught dead in a belted dress, but you look fabulous! Even if that’s cake you’re eating.

Well, it’s not a belt. It’s the top of the skirt. I decided to be brave and tuck the sweater into it. I’m slouching. But…dammit, I wore something tucked in.
The sad part is…I have NO memory of eating that cake.
