Progresso Soup Contest and Give Away

24

This is what it looks like outside our window right now. (Isn’t our doggy cute? Isn’t the snow annoying?)

Not exactly balmy Zesty Santa Fe Chicken* around here. For crying in the Beef Pot Roast* we need some hot soup. For us dieting and soup have always gone hand in hand. Many times we pinned our hopes of hotness on the Miracle Cabbage Soup Diet. But honestly you eat that stuff for one, maybe two meals in a row and you’re all BORING! Then a few years back when we were heavy into Weight Watcherswe discovered Progresso Zero Point Soups. ZERO POINTS? The only other thing we could eat for ZERO POINTS was air. But honest to Rotini*these puppies are only 60 to 100 calories a serving AND they have more flavors then just Cabbage Soup, which is nice. Progresso Soups had variety, low calories, and didn’t require a can opener – we were in love!

So you see the soup. Do you also notice the other stuff, the mug, the Jetson Style Jump Rope dealio? One of our lucky readers will can win the prize pack just by commenting on this post OR get two entries by forwarding our site to a friend via email Twitter or Facebook (just tell us how you shared in the comments). And if that’s not enough you can actually win WAY more than that. Progresso is holding a Souper You contest. The winners gets the following:

Three grand prize winners will be awarded a trip for two to New York City from May 21st-23rd. The prize includes roundtrip airfare, a two-night stay in a NYC hotel, a full makeover, a $1,000 wardrobe shopping spree and personal consultation at a New York department store.

For the love of Italian-Style Vegetable* people this is a good deal! To enter to go toProgresso’s Souper You page. You’ll be asked to write a 200 word essay on why Progresso Soup curls your noodles and to provide a picture. Entries are being accepted until March 15th.  But don’t get your Chicken and Herb Dumplings* in a twist. If you don’t want to write an essay and just want a coupon click over! If you want to win our contest comment it up! Good luck.

*These are just a few of the light soup varieties you can try.

Our Contest Details: One winner will be selected from the Salad Bowl of Fortune on Monday morning (1/11/10) at 9 EST. To enter leave a comment. For two entries share our blog with another dieter. Tell us how you did in the comments section. You’ll win the cool stuff in the picture. (Not the dog, the soup ‘n stuff.)

Disclosure:It is our policy to disclose payments or compensations we receive when they are attached to a blog post. In exchange for talking about a product we already love, Progresso Light Soups, the nice soup people gave us soups to sample, a mug and a jump rope thingy. They also provided the two cans of soup, the jump rope thingy, and a mug to one lucky reader. The jump rope tracks your progress! How cool is that?

Disclaimer: We are not doctors. Soup cannot cure cancer, make you thin, or power your motor vehicle. It can however make your belly all warm.

Statement of Fact:That doggie is cute. Take it to the bank.

Soup is a staple for me as well when I need to refocus on my weight loss journey. Love Progresso! Be careful to watch the serving size – two servings of 0 point soup does not necessarily cost 0 points!

  2. I LOVE soup…I miss soup right now with the challenge I am on….I will enjoy more soup in February!! :)

Well you have me hooked on your blog… my driveby has turned into full stalking mode… you had me at ‘dealio’. So I am parked out front and I am waiting for more goodness.

So tag me once for commenting and tag me twice for sharing on my facebook page as a link, twitter as a retweet. I sent it to two girlfriends here local to me and a diet buddy at caloriecount.com. Great site, even though your not doctors and the dog is not included… how bout the snow?

    :)

Hmm, haven’t had Progresso soup since college. I do enjoy the chicken noodle, but always ruin the nutritional value by adding multiple saltines. I must have my soup with soggy soup-soaked saltines!

  8. Monica says:

What an awesome prize! I’d love some low calorie soup to try out, and that jump rope is super neato!

i would love some soup at this time…something to warm my insides from this cold…

  12. I frequently recommend soups as a starter or a meal. It’s about volume and having to take more time to eat.

Soup is a mainstay in my diet. It is quick, easy and economical. I am one of those weird ones who can eat soup even in the summer time but have to have some especially on cold days like today. I LOVE ME SOME SOUP. In fact I just heard the microwave go off…

  16. Oh I looooooove that Progresso soup! I’m a newish WW leader, and one of my members managed to lose 30 lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years. (!!!!!!!!!) We all asked HOW DID YOU DO THIS? and he whipped out a can of zero-point Progresso soup and said it is his secret weapon. Lunch every day. I went straight to the store to get some. He’s right, the stuff works! and it’s yummy.
Soup really IS a great secret weapon. It’s filling, warm and yummy. YAY SOUP.

  20. Lisa says:

Haven’t tried this soup, but will stop at the store tomorrow and pick some up. I usually make my own, but having some cans on hand might help those “OMG I have nothing to eat, gonna have to swing by a drive thorugh and get some crap to eat” days. Love the jump rope. I’m using my “imaginary” rope right now. I find I don’t get tangled quite as much.
