Awareness Month Awareness Month
You probably knew that February is Black History Month and that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I did. But in the course of investigating which things to be aware of when, I realized I was totally unaware of most awareness months.For instance, February also is Electrical Safety Awareness Month, Heart Disease Awareness Month, Heartworm Awareness Month, National National Awareness Month Awareness Month and possibly Termite Awareness Month. I heard through the grapevine that March is also BE KIND TO A WORKING MOM WITH 4 CHILDREN (ONE SPECIAL NEEDS BOY, ONE WONDERFUL GIRL WHO DRESSES LIKE A BOY AND PLAYS FOOTBALL, AND TWIN BOYS WHO ARE….WELL….TWIN BOYS) WHO CAN’T FIND ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY TO MAKE A GREAT DINNER, DO HOMEWORK, DIVVY OUT BATHS, VACUUM, LAUNDRY AND SHOVEL SNOW……AND GET MY DAMN TOENAILS PAINTED!!!!
Or……were you already AWARE of that? I know a lot of my sistas who are feeling me right now!! Can I get an AMEN for this special AWARENESS celebration!!! I am AWARE!!
Its also self-esteem awareness month which we all need a large dose of during our weight loss journey. Be kind to yourself and be #1, which is so hard for us as caretakers to do!
