Almost Like Marley and Me (no book deal just dog weirdness)
It’s been a while since I’ve relayed the adventures of our dog, Daggett.When last we visited with Daggett, he was in an epic struggle with an uppity squirrel. The squirrel seemed to think the trees were his domain, and Daggett believed that the squirrel was sent by Satan himself to spread evil in our back yard.
Daggett is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. He looks sort of like a golden retriever but has red hair like an Irish setter. We named him Daggett after a show the kids used to like called Angry Beavers. The brother beavers were named Norbert and Daggett. Somehow Daggett was the right name from the start. Continue reading…

Beautiful dog! And I can sympathize with the squirrel obsession. The only things my dogs desire more than squirrels are rabbits, and our neighbors have what seems like a rabbit breeding business in the bushes on our property line…I always think it would be like me having a big window in my kitchen with the most luscious burritos behind it.
