Crappy Mother’s Day!
It’s Mother’s Day this weekend.
My first Mother’s Day, I bought five cards and spent nearly $30 at the card store for the mothers in my life. My husband was in school at the time, and I was a stay-at-home mom. Thirty bucks was more than half our weekly grocery bill.
In those early days, I was sleep-deprived. The new baby was running me ragged. Babies do that. I loved being a mother but still was adjusting to how it kicks your butt every day. I had hoped that maybe my first Mother’s Day as a mom would provide a little break. CONTINUE READING…
