Kentucky Fried Controversy
This week, several Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise owners sued the parent company Yum! Brands. Yum! Brands’ advertising strategy is to make you forget about the word “fried” in Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Published accounts say that Yum! Brands wants to attract a younger and more health-conscious customer base. This led to some franchise owners saying, “Like what? Hunh? We sell fried chicken. Next you’re going to tell us that it’s called Kentucky Fresh Free Range Health Parts.”
