Walkadoo Review

I had a chance to try a new way to challenge you to get your steps in called the Walkadoo. Walkadoo works with a lot of step counters and smart fitness devices. I had it connected to the adorable Pepple.

I’ve tried a lot of fitness trackers and for the most part I like them all. What Walkadoo does is turn that tracker into a game and a constant source of motivation. On top of that you’re a part of a social network of other Walkadooers who encourage you and support your progress.

Here’s how it works. Each day you’re given a goal and as you achieve it you earn rewards in the Walkadoo world. Your goal is texted to you so even if you don’t log into your computer in the morning you’ll get a goal reminder. It’s fun and sort of addicting and, let’s be honest, competitive. You want to beat your steps from the day before and do even better.

Fitness trackers are awesome. I love them. They give you valuable data. But this is the first time I’ve participated in a program where the data is USED to help you adjust, get better, stay motivated, and do it again tomorrow.

If you have a fitness tracker and are getting bored with it or not sure if it’s really helping. I encourage you to give Walkadoo a try. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how a little community and competition can get you moving.

*Disclosure: I was provided a Pebble so I could try the Walkadoo in exchange for my honest opinion on the website.
